Amazing Thailand: Drunk driver in smoke belching pick-up drags "win's" bike for 300m after rider jumps clear

Extraordinary footage published by Thai media 77kaoded showed onlookers looking on in amazement as a smoke belching pick-up with its front smashed in continued down a road with a motorcycle attached to the front.

 

The drunk driver of the pick-up was arrested 300 meters down the road.

 

The "win" rider or motorcycle taxi guy had been delivering stuff when he was hit and jumped off the bike and colleagues gave chase to the fleeing pick-up.

 

The white Mazda pick-up had been in collision with a Mitsubishi pick-up before fleeing along Bang Na - Trat Road in Samut Prakan.

It then hit the Honda Wave as the Mitsubishi rider gave chase. 

 

The police cuffed the rider who stank of booze and made him sit in his vehicle fearing he'd flee or be lynched. 

 

There was little Kittikhun, 53, could do but admit his culpability after  the incident began at KM marker 28 on Bang Na - Trat.

The Mitsubishi driver reported seeing the other vehicle swerving all over the place in his rearview mirror before he was hit in the rear.

 

The drunk driver then reversed and sped off.

 

Somrit, the win rider, said he heard the oncoming trouble and jumped off his bike that was then dragged down the road. He was not hurt. 

 

Bang Bo police tested the drunk driver and found him to have 283 mg of alcohol in his blood, a whopping near six times over the legal limit of 50.

 

He was slapped with multiple charges and taken away to sober up as his relatives were contacted.
