A Trump ally produced an unpublished letter meant to help him. It actually spells out even graver concerns over documents at Mar-a-Lago.

An ally of former President Donald Trump triumphantly published a letter to Trump about his storage of government secrets at Mar-a-Lago on Monday.

John Solomon, a conservative journalist with links to Trump, highlighted the letter for showing the arms-length involvement of President Joe Biden in the investigation that later led to the raid at Trump's home.

But the document also revealed the previously-unknown scale of secret information contained in documents there, and how damaging officials thought it was to national security.

Here's another good article that examines Trump's botched strategy, although, as the headline suggests, "strategy" may dignify Trumps flailing more than they deserve.

Trump, without the presidency’s protections, struggles for a strategy

He does headchopping/firing/banishing.

Remember he promised to get rid of NAFTA?  He did by changing the name of the treaty.

I'll fire this bad guy, I'll fire that terrible woman, etc.  And he will, gladly.  Won't make an difference in things, though.  The votes of the double-digit IQ crowd are there for the taking.

“Trump is representing HIMSELF, with no lawyer at all, in his case against the United States regarding the search of Mar-a-Lago and recovery of government records. The legal term is ‘pro se’ – for himself.

“The new Trump Florida court filing is a press release masquerading (tenuously) as a legal brief.”

Surprisingly enough, a rather good factual account about this letter in this article, which is hidden inside Fox News website.

I had looked at another Fox article which had a headline and lede far more unbalanced but which ultimately did accurately report on the issues. That was on the homepage. Currently, there is no reporting on this issue on the homepage. Which is a pretty fair indicator that this information doesn't bode well for Trump.

Right. I also did not find anything on the homepage and had to search a bit. They obviously don't want to put this topic forward now.

I'm guessing that Trump twisted John Solomon's arm to publish this letter. I can't imagine Solomon actually believed this would help Trump's cause. But he is beholden to Trump.

They couldn't script this stuff better if they tried. If Trump or his minions were smarter this stuff wouldn't happen.

Good lawyers are avoiding him like the plague. He has to resort to hiring mediocre lawyers who couldn’t file a proper court document and in the appropriate jurisdiction. He is definitely not surrounding himself with the smart minions.

I hope for them they got paid in advance, because they gave Trump a good reason for not paying them ????

Trump Flouted Rules About Presidential Records. That’s Not How It Usually Works.

Presidents from both parties have followed tightly restricted procedures that conform to the Presidential Records Act of 1978, which was enacted after Watergate.

Trumpgate is now being investigated.
