Court To Give Verdict On Prayut’s 8-Year Tenure On Sept. 30

THE Constitutional Court announced after a meeting this morning (Sept. 14) that it will deliver its verdict on suspended Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s eight-year tenure at 3 p.m. on Friday September 30, 2022, Matichon newspaper said at noon today.

 

The court considered a petition signed by 171 opposition MPs which Parliament President Chuan Leekpai submitted asking for a ruling on when Prayut’s eight-year tenure ends according to the Constitution’s Section 170 paragraph two and Section 158 paragraph four.

 

The court discussed the petition and decided that this is a legal issue with there being sufficient evidence to pass a judgement.

Prayut Says He Will Respect The Constitutional Court’s Ruling

SUSPENDED Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said this afternoon (Sept. 14) that he has confidence in the justice system and affirmed he will respect the Constitutional Court’s ruling on his eight-year tenure regardless of the outcome, Matichon newspaper said.

 

Earlier today the Constitutional Court said it will give its verdict on a petition signed by 171 opposition MPs which Parliament President Chuan Leekpai submitted asking for a ruling on when Prayut’s eight-year tenure ends on Friday September 30, 2022.

 

Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri, deputy secretary-general to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs acting as a spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, said Gen. Prayut thanked the people for their support and is continuing his duty as Defence Minister and is fully supporting the government in handling the floods.

The verdict is so predictable as by now the envelopes have been received the contents banked with a court whose members who owe their positions to the Too.

His 8 year term is up, done, finished. It started in mid 2014 the first time he stuck his snout in the trough.

Either way the decision will create sparks and and uproar. ..is a damn if you do and damn if you don’t job especially with all the problems of the world. Respectfully retire from all positions and enjoy

Why is it taking so long? Why not just throw him out now and hold a proper general election without all these old Army General dinasaurs. Get some fresh young blood in.

Nothing is perfect, the country is steeped in corruption, that will never change, but there is bound to be an improvement on soldiers with an average Thai IQ which is not exactly high.
