Trump says 'hats off' to Special Counsel Durham, predicts indictments are 'early building blocks'

Former President Trump is touting Special Counsel John Durham's probe, predicting that the early indictments in his yearslong investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe are "just the early building blocks," saying he anticipates the findings are "only going to get deeper and deeper," and that it "all leads back to the Democrats."

During an exclusive interview with Fox News, Trump reacted to Durham’s Thursday indictment of Igor Danchenko— who is believed to be the primary sub-source for former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who compiled the unverified dossier that served as the basis for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

The one good thing to come of this is now that Durham has failed to find any serious wrongdoing, Donald Trump and his supporters will graciously concede that all their suspicions of a deep state plot to undermine his efforts to make America great again were, after all, absolutely unfounded. They will shed their conspiratorial thinking and return to rationality.

Now Durham appears to be winding down his three-year inquiry without anything close to the results Trump was seeking.

I never understood why Trump and his supporters wanted the Durham Inquiry in the first place.

When did they ever have a need of facts, evidence or sworn testimony?

They just make stuff up, the more crack-pot, bizarre and divorced from reality the more they believe it.

As you know DT is no stranger to the courtroom.

There are business people in the US that are not in any particular business but they end up in court a lot, either suing or being sued.  (Unfortunately ex-wife had a few of these in her social circle.)  So, you sue me for something or other, and you lose the case; I then sue you for having the audacity to sue me in the first place.  It's a free run, as the opponent has already lost, and it delivers fortune and vengeance.

DT is playing it for politics this time -- he wanted to bury any words of his russiarussiarussia (as he calls it) probe by having those he accuses of conspiring against him prosecuted for it.  Should the incident ever come up again (which I think will) he could have pointed to the Durham indictments.  Which it turns out are not coming, even though he insists they are.  Perhaps the current USAG should pursue the former AG for the frivolous Durham investigation!

The FBI knowingly paid anti-Trump informant with possible ties to Russian intelligence. The fallout emerging from Durham shown in a recent unsealed court documents.

New Durham bombshell: FBI paid Russian accused of lying as a confidential informant against Trump

Prosecutor says Igor Danchenko, the primary source for the discredited Steele dossier, was paid by FBI as confidential human source for three years despite prior concerns he was tied to Russian intelligence services.

Conspiracy theory? You know that is a false statement. We were forced for many years to accept Clinton being behind the Russia collusion was a "conspiracy theory" even though it was widely known the Russia collusion story was a hoax(1) and made up by Hillary to distract from her email nightmares. Thanks to John Durham the lie has been corrected and everybody know it. Note how the WSJ said "the news is hardly a surprise". So while the left were claiming Hillary's involvement in the origin of the Russia collusion hoax was a conspiracy theory they knew they were being dishonest. Thank you so much John Durham, correcting the false narrative would never have been possible without you.

"The Russia-Trump collusion narrative of 2016 and beyond was a dirty trick for the ages, and now we know it came from the top—candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. That was the testimony Friday by 2016 Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook in federal court, and while this news is hardly a surprise, it’s still bracing to find her fingerprints on the political weapon."

Whatever happens in these trials, just being able to freely state the fact that Clinton was behind the origin of the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to cheat in the 2016 election is more than I ever hoped for.

I tried with my post above, but maybe it needed to be like the post below yours.  Sad to see people get sucked in.  Wonder if it could be considered Stockholm Syndrome.....

This is thread about the Durham investigation, not about an information campaign about the Russia investigation (not hoax).

Yes, the Clinton campaign was looking for information against Trump and partly financed the Steele dossier, and also approved leaking information about Alfa Bank servers. This is not illegal.

No, the Durham probe, which aim was to prove that the Russia investigation was not properly predicated, did not succeed.

Facts are:

-the Steele dossier was not at the origin of the Russia probe. Confirmed by the IG investigation and the Durham investigation,

- the Alfa Bank information was given by Sussman after the FBI opened its Russia investigation, it could not have caused it, (from the trial)

- the FBI did not use the information provided by Sussman, as it was not considered as reliable (from the trial)

- the Clinton campaign did not send Sussman (from the trial).

Not only did the Durham investigation fail to prove the Russia probe was not properly predicated, it also indirectly debunked Trumps conspiracy theory! ????

The unfortunate thing that the Trump Supporters need to understand is that there is always an amount of false information spread in the media and so on in order to try and discredit the other party.  The issue becomes that they know many will believe it and side with the mudslinger without doing any research themselves, ergo they have gone down the rabbit hole.  In my view Politicians running for office should only be given two newspaper spots in the papers, that's all of the papers and then two television commercials.  During these media campaigns the politician can only use the media to tell the public about themselves and what they will do if elected....and nothing else.

Qualify the voters during voter registration to weed out the misinformed, low info demographic.

I propose a quick, 10 point test on civics and current events. Score a perfect 10 and you get a full vote, score 5 and get half a vote...etc.

Must lesson the impact of the votes coming from those that dwell in an alternative reality of fake news and conspiracy nonsense.

You don't have to imagine, just read up on the Whitewater investigation.  Do you know about that one?  An investigation into possible links between the Clinton's and dodgy real estate investments that turned into "investigate the Clinton's about anything that might turn up dirt".  All they got was President Clinton lying about a BJ.

Imagine what such an investigation of Trump's business dealings, foreign connections and sex life would reveal.

This sounds very much like the autocratic moves the Biden administration made when they tried to set up a ministry of truth to check people were following official narratives. Of course, as we know, this ministry of disinformation fell apart because the boss was famously shown to have spread disinformation herself on several occasions.

"House Democrats on Wednesday rejected a Republican attempt to investigate the establishment of the controversial "Disinformation Governance Board" at the Department of Homeland Security.

The board was created to fight online disinformation that DHS said could affect the 2022 midterm elections. Backlash against the idea grew more intense after it was learned that DHS hired Nina Jankowicz as the board’s executive director.

Jankowicz supported the now-debunked theory that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the White House in 2016 and called the Hunter Biden laptop story "disinformation."

I am wondering if you yourself Larry have ever been the victim of misinformation?
