Teen student with "Brand Name" clothing and iPhone robs gold shop not once but twice

Muang Surat Thani police in the south of Thailand announced the arrest of a 16 year old female vocational diploma student who robbed a gold shop in their district.

 

"A" - not named because of her age - was interviewed in the company of social services after her arrest at a house in the downtown area yesterday.

 

She admitted everything.

 

On Tuesday just after midday she went into the gold store on Na Muang road saying she wanted to buy a gold bracelet.

She was wearing a pink designer cap, brand name clothes and carrying a brand name chest bag.

 

Through sleight of hand she managed to steal a 4 baht weight item.

 

She then returned at 2.15 pm and stole another one. 

 

Police studied her getaway route from CCTV that showed her on a Honda Scoopy-i.

She sold the first bracelet at a shop nearby then used some of the money to buy a bracelet and ring.

She got 120,000 baht for the loot.

 

It emerged that the girl's parents had paid off a retailer after she stole an iPad and clothes earlier. Thus she avoided a criminal record.

 

Evidence also showed an 84,000 baht payment from her to an online gambling site, reported Daily News.

 

She was charged with theft using sleight of hand and detained.

Had an ex-gf who could tell fake clothes from real by the stitching used. I wouldn't have known my 'Wangler' jeans were fake otherwise.
