Wichit – A man has been arrested after he stole gold items worth 270,000 baht from a friend’s home in Wichit.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that last month Mr. Likit Wowthong filed a report to police that a suspect stole a gold necklace, two gold rings, and a gold bracelet in total worth 270,000 baht from his home at Saphan Hin Village in the Wichit sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

Maybe it was the same chap who "borrowed' watches from a friend?

Many of us heard from girls the sentence: He has too much money.

Obviously nobody should ever steal anything from anybody else. But then some "rich" people should also think twice about showing others how rich they are. Because those others might get the impression that they could easily live without a couple of gold chains and rings because they obviously have too much money.

Many people dream about having a lot of money and I guess they go for easy targets. Not good, but in a way understandable.

Satit admitted to police he stole gold items from his friend’s home. He sold the gold items as he needed money to pay prior debts.

Neither the victim or suspect stated if the two men would remain friends.

1. wonder if the pawn shop will get busted for stolen goods.

2. I do not think so.

How should a pawn shop see who owns the gold?

A friend like him.. Who need friends ? ????

Only if they can be proven to be complicit.  Thais selling/pawning gold is not exactly unusual here.
