Let's return to 2002

How has life changed in that 20 years,to where you are now.

What has happened in the last 20 years to you ,you gone up in life or down

2002 to now

I told my wife I was too old to tolerate having children. Even she wishes she'd paid attention to my warnings.

Almost all the Thai music cafes shut in bkk, no Veteethai concert at Prapradeng on Sat with 7/4 concert before at Central Rama 2, then 94.5 concert on Sunday at lumpini night bazzar. Quite boring these days. ????

I has just been appointed as CEO of a research company in the US. The post was well paid,  but as boring as hell.  Still, I kept me in gainful employment until the time to move to Asia, so it served its purpose.  I have no wish to return to those days, there was no 'food for the soul' in the highly cut throat world in which that company operated.

Transferred from being successful in my work, laying the foundations, to be now reasonably successful at life, enough to keep things interesting and enjoyable,????

It was 20 years ago, God answered my prayers to send me to live somewhere with loads of easy, hot women.

I was thinking somewhere in Europe, like Magaluf, or as it was known "Shagaluf" to us 15 year old virgins.

Well, God indeed outdid himself. I must have insulted him by saying that the loose British women who went to Magaluf were hot.

Except for 20 ish years closer to my demise, can't really think of any real negatives, Thankfully.

... another divorce & marriage added to the count, now 3 vs 4.

... wife, then 23 years younger (1/2 my age), now 22 yrs younger (1/3 my age)

... 2 ish year old daughter, now grown Uni grad / business woman

... have more equity & liquid assets, then enough, now too much (if not frivolous)

... TV also much larger ????

... more anti-social than ever

... less respect for mankind, big business (oil, pharma)

... less respect for western govt, if even possible

... need more tin foil than ever now

... censored more than ever

... can smoke a doobie (rare) without paranoia

... no longer have alcohol as a hobby, liver happier

... moved on to drones, RCs, & photography as hobbies

... 3rd & final (hopefully) house BUILD & move/LOCATION, happier w/BOTH

... complete independence of gov't, municipal utilities, if wanting (PEA/water/petrol)

... deeper appreciation of everything

... every year just keeps getting better & better

What is the story behind that?

Came in 2005 to live,33 with $75,000 in my pocket.

Thought could live forever on that.

Reality check very quickly, assembled 100 rai of land.

Got lucky with employment here which lead to bigger things over the years.

Married with two children.

Since covid have done 12 days work so consider myself a self funded retiree.

Easy life when you don't work for the banks.

The one disavantage of coming here younger is my wife is only eleven years younger.????
