Popular Post snoop1130 Posted October 19, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 19, 2022 Many people witnessed a fire that caught on cable wires on Soi Buakhao 15 in Pattaya around 3 PM today, October 19th. The flames broke out after an excavator that was working on a drainage project on Soi Buakhao 15 got its arm entangled with the wires above it by accident, an eyewitness told The Pattaya News. Tourists and residents fled the scene immediately, and there are no reports of injuries so far after the fire was put out by Pattaya firefighters. However, five cars that were parked near the fire were damaged including a black Toyota Yaris, a white Honda HRV, a bronze Toyota Yaris, a black Toyota Altis, and a white Honda Civic. KhunBENQ Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Before reading here I saw a video about it and thought whether this is from today. And it is. Amidst the endless construction nightmare on Soi 15. People running probably to get their vehicles away. 1
KhunBENQ Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 A guy with a little handheld extinguisher walking to that wall of flames ???? The will was there. 1

Shame either the extinguisher didn't work or the people didn't know how to operate, probably the extinguisher was out of date

For me 'including' certainly does not make it ten, 'excluding' would have been used surely. Amusing they felt the need to tell us what types of vehicles they were, moreso if a few Hi-So vehicles had been among them! 1

papa al Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Good riddens to that frightful tangle of lines.
champers Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 The report cites an accident as the cause of the blaze when infact it is gross negligence on the part of the digger driver. 1 1

Owing to the lack of the Fire Service in attendance in any numbers he was a real hero..........40 minutes from the fire breaking out the second much larger Fire engine turned up...the police were there in numbers taking pics only (must have Tik Tok accounts) so it was left to individuals to do what they could....apart from the first ten minutes I watched the whole thing.

roger101 Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 That's what I can't understand. I don't know what time it started but from the time the video played it was over 10 minutes. That is scandalous considering the distance from the fire station to Soi 15. Or was it change of watches or maybe lunch.
PETERTHEEATER Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Does Soi Bukakke have a high Japanese population?
mwbrown Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Good thing Thailand has these protected jobs that are so highly skilled that it's impossible that a foreigner could do anywhere near as good a job.

It seems common in Thai reporting to incorrectly say "including" then list every item. They really should use a phrase such as "consisting of" instead. I don't see how you managed to jump to the conclusion that just because the "including" list was full, there must have also been 5 other cars, though.
