Prayuth thanks Joe Biden for the meeting - passes on good wishes for granddaughter's wedding and sending Kamala to Bangkok

Wow Prayut, all of that in one go? Would have liked to see your rehearsals in front of the mirror.

Thai government spokesman Anucha Buraphachaisri said that Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha had thanked US President Joe Biden after the pair met at an ASEAN summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia at the weekend

I am fine and you?

Well, Prayuth's 15 minutes of fame; assume this exchange was done in fluent Thai.

On a more sombre note, who pays for the wedding and the use of the White House infrastructure - just asking for an (American tax-paying) friend.

Interesting also is the priority allocated to the wedding of a granddaughter over the attendance of the Asia-Pacific-Economic-Conference, known as APEC. Is the sweetheart in a sudden hurry so that this wedding could not be moved by an inch?

and sending Kamala to Bangkok  "

I could think of better places I'd like to send Kamala and it's not Bangkok

Kamala is in Phuket next to Patong.

I heard she was hanging out at the Thermae, was there for a long time.

Thailand supplies medium format chips to the US and the world. It is still important to the US. And it shows here. Will be interesting to see how it plays out in the long run. Looks like Xi is pi$$ed for sure.  Will Thailand cave and support China more or will it turn and start supporting the US.  Fun times ahead.

Bottom line is it is getting harder for Thailand to straddle the fence.
