Popular Post webfact
By Tanakorn Panyadee Pattaya — An Indian tourist reported to police that his gold necklace worth, according to him, 285,000 baht was allegedly pickpocketed by a group of transgender people. But luckily, a Pattaya Good Samaritan found the necklace and returned it to the tourist. 43-year-old Indian victim Mr. Nitin Mukund Puronit ran to report a case of theft at the Pattaya police station at 2.30 AM today, November 20th. Puronit told police he was pickpocketed of his gold necklace which he claimed cost more than 285,000 baht while he was strolling with his friends on Beach Road in front of Soi 13/2 in Pattaya, Chonburi. Pattaya police chief Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai ordered investigation police to accompany the victim to inspect the incident scene. Popular Post jacko45k
Better check it is real then! That valuation is amazing...... I do hope he pays 10%, ie 28,000 baht to the finder. Nor do I believe a thief would drop the haul.... they have extremely sticky fingers. Genuine question. Bewildering! Bling... it is in their nature to flaunt it, must be seen. Probably not secure to leave in their hotel or whatever flop house they are in. Why do Ladyboys nick them... easy pickings, high value, sold on readily, little chance of being caught, if caught, punishments are often light. 1

bradiston
How do you get to the clasp, remove the necklace from the wearer's neck, and make off with it without these dumb axcxc noticing? The owner's probably cursing the guy who returned it. Scam foiled. It was gold painted lead. And the picture! Could have been downloaded. These guys are giving ladyboys a bad name.

Lo go figure. I had an insurance agency 30+ years ago. A (not English) guy approached me (rare occasion when you sell insurance) and subsequently took out a policy for £24,000 of jewellery on an all risks basis. The premium was mouth watering but my commission was most refreshing. 2 months later he travelled and ‘left it on his seat in the departure lounge’ of an airport whereupon it disappeared and that is most of the information we received on the claim form. This not used for jewelry as its brittle.

It's not too brittle, it's too soft and wears quickly.

The reason they don’t use ‘pure’ (99.99%) gold as jewellery is that it is too malleable, which metallurgically is the opposite to brittle. Gold is actually the most malleable of all metals. 1 gram of pure gold can be rolled into a 1 square metre sheet, that sheet becoming semi-translucent. Reflecting on that outstanding information made me realise why I took redundancy after 15 years in the steel industry to move onto more exciting employment.
