Thailand’s Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) plans to begin Phase 3 clinical trials of its COVID-19 vaccine in December, after it obtains the findings of the Phase 2 tests, expected at the end of this month or early next.

Dr. Nakorn Premsri, director of the National Vaccine Institute, said that, if the Phase 2 tests are satisfactory, the Phase 3 human trials will be conducted on volunteers who have been inoculated with other makes of COVID vaccines, such as AstraZeneca and Pfizer, to determine the effectiveness of the GPO vaccine.

If the locally-created vaccine is as effective, he said it will be registered with the Thai Food and Drug Administration for use as a booster.

Why are they still calling it COVID-19? or maybe the Thai's are still focused on the 2019 variant, why not Wuhan COVID ...................LOL

What a complete farce. By the time its finished there would probably be another variant so different that they will need start the whole 4 year project again

The new jab is rumoured to leave the recipient faintly luminous at dusk making them a visible target for mosquitos.

pretty sure there is a budget for this, where there's a budget - they can fudget

and yes - a bit late

the biggest current threat on the planet is "bird flu"

Even though it’s being made in Thailand.  I would be curious of the testing results. And how and where it was tested.  Yes it’s a little late.  But it could be a good vaccine.
There are so many variants to Covid.  It’s difficult for any pharmaceutical company to keep up with it.
