This bullion was stored in London, New York, and Ottawa for the duration of the war. The vast majority, including 100 tonnes, was finally repatriated to Poland in a top-secret 2019 operation. YouTube +5 Key Aspects of the Polish Gold Journey: The Escape (1939): Under intense pressure, Bank of Poland officials, aided by civilians and military, moved the reserves out of Warsaw just before its fall. The journey involved navigating through Romania, Turkey, and Beirut. Storage Locations: While much was taken to the Bank of England in London, some was also sent to Canada and the USA to ensure its safety from German seizure. 2019 Repatriation: In a secret operation involving G4S Cash Solutions, approx. 8,000 bars were flown back from London to Poland. The numbers doesn't match.
