Report New Cannabis Regulation: Prescription Required for Sales
Honestly, this will just push the market underground again. It’s almost guaranteed that black market activity will spike — and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some police officers start charging “protection fees” to turn a blind eye. That kind of thing already happens with plenty of other establishments here. I’ve heard from the wife that two Thai shop owners near our house are already preparing to move on through other channels if it comes to that. To be frank, it really doesn’t seem like they know what they’re doing. Implementing something this drastic just three years after legalizing cannabis feels incredibly short-sighted and rushed. On top of that, we don’t even know if this government will still be in charge by the time November rolls around. They’re facing major issues right now, and a lot could change between now and then. But let’s be real — I don’t see how they plan to enforce this. Zero chance. The infrastructure isn’t there, the demand isn’t going away, and the black market knows how to adapt way faster than the government can regulate. -

paying online
- If you have the Bangkok Bank Be1st Debit card take your passport to the closest branch and ask them to activate it for online/international transactions. - Yes, it's difficult to use home country credit cards without a home country address. They're trying to prevent fraud. Some banks will do it, some will not. You have to call or email them to find out. - Can I use a Thai bank issued prepaid credit card anywhere in the world? or is it only good in Thailand? -
