Thank you for letting Putin know. Now he can't do much elsewhere, but he now knows Zelensky will probably be taking a train from Poland back to Kyiv.

You keep your mouth shut about stuff like this until the man is back home safely. But then... European leaders were tweeting out of train on the way to Kyiv in the middle of bombardment, even saying Russia would not attack train service so it's the safest way to travel... I guess people nowadays are really hungry for publicity and lack any judgement for consequences of their actions...

Well, well, what do you know. This little sweetheart was flown by the US air force, the bill for which will end up on NATO's desk in Brussels. Wondering if the incidents since 2014 in the East of Ukraine will be on the agenda ..... or not. Is there an American photo-op planned; I mean Vogue in Paris printed 16 pages extra with him and his wife while his country was bombed and on fire. Your call!

The reference by the BBC to the importance of the relationship between theTWO nations is  very poor journalism at best.

The issues at hand here, as Zelensky said to the US Congress yesterday is for the entire world to face down and to vanquish. Why? Because, as Zelensky correctly stated in his address it is about the defence of freedom and democracy, and the defeating of the age old forces of extreme right, ultra-nationalist, religious cults, fascism, and despots ala Putin and others (no matter how flawed democracy may be).

Defence of freedom and democracy? Please. Ukraine is not exactly a haven of either one.  Freedom House rates Ukraine as "partly free", below countries like Brazil and bulwarks of democracy like Tunisia.  Ironically, also below Hungary, a nation that gets a lot of stick around here.
