AustinRacing Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Helping out a friend in the village. Came to the conclusion that mains tap is the source the of leak. Considering they are buried under a concrete slab does it mean it is the Council’s responsibility or can the owner do it?
worgeordie Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 If the pipes are outside the property ,call the local water board ,they will come and fix it , regards Worgeordie
lopburi3 Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 That means you are not being charged for the leaking water but should notify them before it gets worse. Not sure there is any council involved - suspect it would be whoever supplies the water - here in Bangkok it would be MWA

kickstart Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 You're in a village not a town or city,if your village is anything like ours ,it is the village only water supply,no water board, the village will have a local guy that will see to any repairs ,our guy is at the end of our Soi ask around to find who it is . Looking at that photo not a difficult job to do yourself ,concrete probably only 3-4 inches thick, water meters are often encased in concrete to prevent them from getting stolen. No reason why you can not do it your self. 1

So it is quite possible that neither claim is correct.
