Leaving USA ? Be aware of 30% tax....
If you have a brokerage and or bank account with a California address (I do), you will have to file a return or California will attach your wages. They are relentless. -

British Man Injured in Pattaya Road Rage Incident with Thai Driver
Really ?? A poll on a forum makes drink driving acceptable ?? You stupidly think that surrounding yourself with other idiots is some form of scientific measure to justify your attitudes towards drink driving. If you posted a 'flat Earth poll' and 75% of idiots voted that it was flat not spherical, that doesn't make it flat !!! Your poll was fundamentally flawed in the manner that it was 'loaded' and lacked a 'balanced middle ground' option. Kind of like polling and asking the question "have you ever tried Marajuna", and then jumping to the conclusion that everyone is dope-heads becasue so many people have tried it... I think you cannot see that, because you are so locked into your bias that drink driving is somehow acceptable and the global stats, world wide governments and every scientific test regarding impairment are somehow wrong and you are right because you 'think' you are ok to drive after 10-12 pints... -

Brokerage Custodial Account for a Minor
Fidelity has a few options. Does he not have a US passport/citizenship also? Fidelity will let you open a joint account with an minor as well, which is pretty easy. How old is he? If you have earned income and he works at all, you might want to open a Roth for him. -

Leaving USA ? Be aware of 30% tax....
You only do a state return if you are domiciled there. You might as well use the California address. Residency in California would be the deciding factor, not your address. I used to live in California. When I severed ties and got an address in Nevada I stopped filing a California return. -

Why Kamala Harris Lost: The Challenges of a Complex Campaign
You don't follow the news very well. They lost the senate already and congress republicans need 5 more seats, but they are leading on 10 of the 20 that haven't been called yet. -

Why Kamala Harris Lost: The Challenges of a Complex Campaign
Not a fan of Hillary, and she was a hard leftist, but should make it through an interview without sounding like a moron. -

Online Booking Platforms
Not true. A lot of airlines allow customers to purchase upgrades when checking-in online. And with AirAsia choosing your seat is an upgrade. But when I tried to upgrade our tickets online at check-in, AirAsia denied the transaction and I ended up in a loop with no way out. Since the requested upgrade was not paid, my check-in couldn't be completed. I chat through the app and, after hours spent looking for a human operator, instead of AirAsia silly and useless AI, I was invited to pay through the agent. I called the agent, and they did not sell any upgrade at check-in. I tried to cancel the upgrade request, but the cancellation was denied. I recontacted AirAsia who could not help: "pay the agent" they said. Finally, AirAsia ended up accepting my upgrade request. But it did so only at their check-in counter in the airport, where I showed up without assigned seats for me and my partner. Our seats of choice were gone, and we couldn't fly next to each other. AirAsia, understanding the problem caused to us (my girlfriend is scared of flying and wanted to fly close to me), kindly gave us the upgrade for free, but in different rows and middle seats. Thankfully I could upgrade and pay on the spot, at the same counter for the return flight, scheduled five days later, entirely bypassing the agent, but this time with plenty of seats available to choose from. P.S.: This was about 18 months ago. I still try not to fly AirAsia if I can.
