The dems did offer to support a centrist GOP speaker for an equal share of seats on committees. I wonder what happened to that.

Boebert is trying to show continued loyalty to DT while at the same time daring to defy his directions on the vote.  She was on MSNBC last night trying to double-talk how that works; the hostess kept her cool, but her expression said it all, even gave up listening and started reading something else.

McCarthy, walking onto the House floor, says lawmakers are going to move forward with a ninth Speaker ballot and are still working on a deal.

“We’re working on it. That’s why we’re doing this,” he said.
