This is Thailand anything is possible , after you removed it did the rattle stop.

You sure the stone is the cause of the rattle, sometimes components inside and exhaust box can break and cause rattles. 

 

Yeah, that's what I thought at first, a loose baffle etc.

 

But the annoying sound went away with the rock ????
