What’s the fine if a tm30 is not done with an absentee landlord and I’m on a long term visa and I go into extend it after 1 year?

Immigration may very well allow you to use lease for address.

Even TM47 receipt.

Some offices do not look at TM30 for ongoing extensions.

In my own example I have lived in Thailand for 10year up and never (ever) done a TM30 or provided one for immigration for extension purposes. (CW).

Which immigration office.

From what you've described, this sounds like a TM30 issue.  Don't think that's anything new.

  • You've been here 20 years and don't know about TM30?

  • Resorts and hotels know this already (for years), that is why they ask for passports on checking in.  They don't need to be "approached".  Nothing is new here.

Just did my extension with a tourist visa and had to do a tm30 as well, was pretty easy just fill out a form and show them your lease /proof of stay
