Popular Post scubascuba3 Posted February 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2023 Prices are getting ridiculous, 120 for Heinz baked beans, 65 for ones I've never heard of, just not worth paying some of these prices now, most is unhealthy food anyway. They call it price elasticity when people decide not to buy anymore 3
ThailandRyan Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 It's called inflation, when I eat that stuff my stomach inflates because of the gas it causes. Can't find Beano around here at all. Gotta order it if I want to eat beans. 2
Popular Post EVENKEEL Posted February 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2023 I was buying steak Filet Mignon 280thb for 250g, size went to 200g and now the 200g filet costs 320thb. I didn't have it often but when I wanted steak it was always delicious. I'm stopping out of principle. 3 2 1

Eddie45 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 You think thats bad. You want to do some shopping in some of the UK supermarkets. Price of items goes up everytime you do some shopping.
Popular Post xylophone Posted February 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2023 Price increases are noticeable all round, not just in "expat stores" and as I do most of my buying in the local Big C and like to wander round and decide what I want for dinner, but I won't let the prices put me off as a rule. If I fancy something else, then I will visit Villa Market and their selection is pretty good. But what I won't do is to forego something that I would like to eat, because of the price, and that includes Aussie/NZ tenderloin steak, which I cook on occasion. I do this because I reckon at my age I have deserved to be able to eat exactly what I want and when I want it, and to accompany it with a few glasses of nice red wine. 7 1 8 1

KhunBENQ Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 It's not simply inflation. It's extremely bad for imported products. At BigC they have some French Casino products for which some prices have simply exploded. Cheese is particularly bad. Some Brie cost 179 until recently, now 304. Same for cheese spread. Was about 119 before Covid, last prices were about 140 now 322. 125 gr: 2

Not brought beans for a good while now, i look at like this: am i really going to enjoy these beans knowing i am paying over the odds for them? Too bitter to swallow. 2

Popular Post SuperSilverHaze Posted February 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 19, 2023 Variation on the English breakfast whinge. Long live the Expat Stores - couldn't do without them! And now we have Greggs too! 2 1
