I am always amazed.....

I am always amazed: these are clearly declared parking spaces, marked in black and white! Isn't it illegal for rental companies to park their motorcycles on public property, like here in Hua Hin? This deprives the shops in the area of parking spaces and the police close their eyes!!

they pay 'someone' to do that.

It's pretty obvious the rental bikes are taxed and insured to use the road so they can park there surely.

Chairs and tables don't get tax disc and insurance to use the road.

When in Thailand, one should not be "amazed" at anything, it'll only drive you bonkers.

Yea plus the white-black curb marking means longer duration parking is permitted. Plus a rectangular mark designates a parking zone. It's a <deleted>ty thing to do by the shop but I believe it's legal. To be fair, their bikes don't even take much more space than a single car.

Such garbage, chairs and tables are not road vehicles, for which the parking places are provided, they are obstructions in the road.

Neither do many cars, bicycles, electric bikes, tractors and such like, but still use the roads. TIT

I was further amazed today, same hospital saw only one doctor,a surgeon who made a quick examination and advised me to wait for quotation then off to cashier,900b please ,requested cashier to confirm, she then replied 900b. Luckily I had my guardian "pit bull" with me,after some conversation with the cashier and another phone call the bill was "adjusted" to 206b
