Chiang Mai — One of four alleged Chinese criminal gang members wanted by Thai police was busted in Chiang Mai after he stole a brand new car from his compatriot in Pattaya around three years ago.

Acting on an arrest warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court in 2020, the officers arrested an alleged car thief, Mr. Zhongqiang Sae-Lor, 34, in Chiang Mai’s Chai Prakan district on Saturday, March 4th. The Chinese man was charged with collusion in robbery using a vehicle to commit an offense.

According to the police report, Zhongqiang and his three other accomplices jointly robbed a brand new Toyota Alphard Vellfire from a Chinese victim, Mr. Liu Bao, in Pattaya three years ago. The four suspects pursued the victim’s car and forcibly entered the vehicle to steal it.
