Interest rate aren't just rates, they usually come with conditions and restrictions attached and 

one need to know about them before he deposit his money with the bank.

SCB e savings might still be the highest, was around 1.5% might have changed.

 

Krungsri MTD 0.9%

Krungsri pay a higher rate for less deposits on MTD, under 100k 1% over and up to 2 mil 0.9. When I took one out it was well over 2%.

 

 

If you can deposit for long time, you could buy an insurance: 4-5 % for 12-14 years.
