New Traffic Barriers on Pattaya’s Walking Street Cause Concern for the Disabled

The disabled could use a different side soi rather than make a drama about it

Yes, but they might have an urgent need to get to the GoGo Bar or Club! ????

TBH the barriers are poorly thought through. No only an impediment to wheelchairs and scooters, but they look like a trip hazard too.

If the police were there to enforce the law with heavy fines, the blocks were not needed..but the article write it.... entering the road against rules and regulations.... so who has to enforce the rules???

Agree.

So rediculous, all these moaners and complainers are really annoying.

I left Australia to get away from the whiners.

The anti-scooter barriers installed on Sukhumvit in Bangkok had a dog-leg area for wheelchairs. So it can be done.

Shame that you think those with disabilities are moaners, complainers and whiners. They're people less fortunate than you and a little pre-planning could have ensured they have access along with anyone else.

It just never stops.

Complaining about this and that, if they're not happy here go back to where they come from.

I like Thailand the way it is, it's not perfect but there is no place that's perfect.

Thailand is slowly changing, for the worse, before we know it, it will be the same sh*t hole I left to come here.

I agree with you and it has to be said that most of Pattaya is not wheelchair friendly . There is little if any consideration for the disabled especially with the majority of uneven pavements with big drops at both ends . They are bad enough for the normal pedestrian and not to mention crossing busier roads .

The invalid carriage lanes from Father Ray's along Soi Paniad Chang (Yume) attest to that.

So what's up those side sois that not available on "mobility assistance vehicle" friendly streets?

(Are there any

"mobility assistance vehicle" friendly streets anywhere in Thailand?)

I suppose policing the problem was out of the question.

Gates are more effective than the police.

And here you are whining about whiners ????

Yep, its the only complaint you'll ever see from me, I'm fed up with the whinging and complaining, I'm always  complaining making comments regarding these negative members.

It's articles like this one that feeds the whiners, the Thai Bashers.

I'm proud of my efforts to complain, I wish all the moaners would Nick off.

Here you go, Dan (Dan about Thailand) is fed up with them to.

He's hit the nail on the head.

I've been saying EXACTLY the same thing for years, well done Dan. ????
