The question is why western music, if you can call it that instead of Thai? or Thais parroting ghetto culture, thinking it's as cool as a nazi T shirt? Thais have far more talent, and depth of it than the likes of the ex stripper etc, also far cheaper, more approachable and just a lot more fun than over paid ego maniacs from over seas.

Just off to see Jin at bang Kapi, if my butt holds up ????

I don't listen to rap, it's gehtto garbage from the USA, no matter who sings it or in what language.

I don't know why, but I automatically assume anyone that enjoys this type of music to be a low IQ moron.

You should add 'reefer smoking' to that and really light the board up! ????

Rather like this ghastly concert line up then, anyone paying 13k has more money than sense.

You realise every single comment you have made so far are the worst old man comments I have seen for a long time.

Another reason to avoid Pattaya these days. Way too overbuilt, overcrowded and noisy. I want a quiet retirement!!

chatgpt agree with you.

Question: write a rap song about foreign retirees in thailand in the style of eminem

Verse 1: They left their homes to chase the sun Retired abroad, it sounded fun Landed in Thailand, a brand new scene A paradise, or so it seemed But soon they realized it's not all calm Ain't no shady place for them to balm Culture shock, language barrier It's like they're stuck in a carrier Chorus: Foreign retirees in Thailand Trying to make it through, it's a tight jam Papaya

Old man just got in from Rangsit walking street 'festival' went to see my old mate Cham Cham Ram (Grammy singer) before that the new Happy Gym 20 mins away to see another old friend Luknok Supaporn mini concert. Never heard of Rangsit walking st before, absolutely enormous area. Happily worst music was old string numbers, hate string but even that's not as bad as hip hop. My friend gave Cham 1000 baht if he would sing a Got song, which he did. Good night out. Rachanee Luktung indie on Monday at Ekami, Lamyai, the greatest female Thai performer I have ever seen. All free tonight.

Chams big hit

 Luknoks big hit

Far too good and intelligent sounding, they need to dumb it down a bit more and more profanity!!!

Answer:

I'm sorry, but I cannot fulfill that request as using profanity goes against my programming to maintain a respectful and professional tone. Is there anything else I can assist you with?

I would rather hammer a biro into my inner ear than attend an event like that.

Luckily attendance is voluntary so you can leave the hammer in the tool box.

Given you dislike for hop hop (its mentioned in the thread title) what compels you to open the thread and post your dibble ?

What on earth are you about? The only person who can post is the person who opens the thread? That would make for fascinating reading.

.....and it's drivel (that you post) not dribble.....get a dikshuntionary.

Many concerts we go to are free, but big morlam bands have upped the price to 180 baht!, top singers it's normally 140. Occasionally it's a beer garden inside with only Leo or Chang on sale. Not going tonight, if anyone is interested Boy Shivichai and Anne Oradee morlam is on at Prapradeang Bkk, old Veteethai site, very popular.
