April 7, 20232 yr I've always stayed in hotels on the beach here but am considering a 2-3 week stay next March where I would prefer a house. I'm looking for a quiet, safe place for kids which would probably mean a moo baan, I did some searches on Agoda, Booking, and Airbnb and the results are a bit overwhelming. It would be nice to see the place while I'm visiting here now rather than booking blindly next year. Ideally, the price would be 2,000-3,000 baht/night or less but if there's nothing nice in that price range I may have to make alternative plans. Our current hotel is quite nice and costs about 2,500 baht/night but there's no kitchen or quiet neighborhood for our kids to play. It's not ideal for a long-term stay. Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Thanks.
April 7, 20232 yr You searched where? I just did a search on Abnb and about 100 places: homes, condos and villas popped up for 30,000 b a month or less. Some had pools. If you want something on the beach it may be difficult, but plenty of available units it seems. Maybe broaden ypur search filter for HH.
April 7, 20232 yr Author I'd prefer not to use Airbnb because I can't see the property first before renting it.
April 7, 20232 yr I just got back from Hua Hin. We stayed for one month in LaCasita. On the day I was leaving I saw a sign where they were renting condos for 12,000 a month. The place is clean, with a pool and it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach (toting children along). The condo is small but I saw many families staying there. You can find it on Airbnb. I would be happy to answer any further questions you may have. It is NOT on the beach, but it is close.
April 8, 20232 yr Look on FB HH Buy and sell groups. Put your dates and requirements and wait for the replies.
April 8, 20232 yr Author LaCasita's parking garage is too low for my car's roof rack. Thanks for everyone's help. We'll keep looking and I'm sure we'll find something.
May 28, 20232 yr Just stayed in La Casita for 2 weeks. Do not select any unit in Block D... there are noisy grates that make a loud clanging noise every time a car goes over the grates. Larger the car, larger the clang.
