Police Arrest Hot-Headed Vocational Groups Fighting on Khao San Road

Two hot-headed vocational groups were arrested by the police on Khao San Road during the Songkran Festival in Bangkok.

 

One young man was caught carrying knuckles, while two pocket knives were seized from the groups. The incident happened on April 14, 2023, at around 8:55 p.m. in front of Soi Khao San Road, reported Daily News.

 

Wongsiripreeda, Superintendent of Police No. 1, along with Pol. Col. Sanong Sangmanee, Superintendent of Chanasongkram Police Station, took control of the situation and arrested the young man carrying knuckles.

 

Later on, the police managed to control the situation and arrested the two groups, which included three people who were armed with knives. The brawl happened amidst a large crowd of tourists, and the police took the individuals to the police station for further investigation.

 

From the initial investigation, it was found that the incident occurred due to a dispute between the two vocational groups.

 

The police have taken the necessary actions as per the law and are continuing the investigation. The incident highlights the importance of maintaining peace and order during festivals and public events to ensure the safety of all individuals.

They were just providing an impromptu cabaret for the tourists - who will now be checking their TAT Land of Smiles brochures and wondering if they landed in the right country.

I know, and I sure bet the sentence for owning one is less than owning a woman's sex toy - that also cannot be found anywhere on the streets of Pattaya

This is Thailand we are speaking about, not somewhere that is highly policed with regard to dangerous weapons.

Students from 2 vocational schools fighting each other...... In Bangkok, this has been going on since early 90's, as far as I know. Possibly even since much earlier. 

 

Some things never change.

 

Well, but, I guess they don't normally take the fight to Khao San though ????

Vocational groups? I wonder what the vocations were. Maybe gangs would be a better description.

Perhaps it was a dispute between knife and (brass/metal) knuckle sellers on Khaosan Road..... ????

 

After all, that's a pretty brisk business here in Thailand.
