A Thai man attacked his girlfriend at a restaurant before dragging her 1 kilometre down a road while riding a motorcycle in the central province of Pitsanulok.

The victim’s mother, 56 year old Kingkarn, spoke to KhaoSod about the incident yesterday. Kingkarn revealed that the attack took place on Friday, April 14 while her daughter, 33 year old Nanthiya “Hong” Atchayutpokin, was working at a restaurant.

According to Kingkarn, Hong’s boyfriend, 26 year old Donlaphat, arrived at the restaurant to take Hong home, even though she hadn’t finished her work. Donlaphat suddenly slapped his girlfriend in the face in front of a lot of customers and forced her to leave the restaurant.

Kingkarn said Donlaphat dragged Hong along the road while riding a motorcycle until they arrived at his house. It was over 1 kilometre from the restaurant.

Agree.

So many good things in Thailand to celebrate, such an interesting culture. It would be good if this forum shared more of the positives aspects rather than domestic violence stories that happen in every country.

Millions of tourists flock to Thailand, many year after year and most people on this forum have chosen it as theiir home because it is so good here.

It is not balanced.

The use of "thai man" instead of just saying "a man" triggers the same people who repeat the same comments.

Totally Agreed again !!! Thanks.

Because he has grown up just like the mother allowed him to be.

His Mother is probably scared of him !!!  ... This is still the remnants of a feudal and war like society, but I love it, (As it is only the remnants of one, not a real one) ... As it is more realistic than the usual <Deleted> excuses that we see from over seas !!!

They don't really educate boys in this country. Real education starts at home from parents.

What parents?
