Rest in Peace Joe. Sadly, I didn’t know you personally, but you advised me on a number of occasions and you were always the one to go to for any of us with visa questions. You will be greatly missed and without your unparalleled knowledge there will be a hugh void that will take some filling. My condolences to your family, both here and in the US.

Condolences to his family.

Joe was the main reason for looking at this forum; his advice, always given in a straightforward, non-judgemental manner, has been accepted as gospel by almost all on this forum.

He will be sadly missed.

Served (under another name) with him as a moderator in the Thai visa section. He was a great source of information and always there to help people. For that alone he will be missed. My condolences to his loved ones.

May he rest in peace.

Very little I can add to the kind words of so many other readers. I too had noticed that Joe had been a little quiet lately, before seeing this sad news. What a giant of a man to have helped so many on here for such a long time, without question. RIP Joe - your valuable input and vast wealth of knowledge of Thai immigration matters will be sorely missed.

Hope not inappropriate.

Have already done couple of posts to champion remarkable guy ubonjoe.

I hope at some point in time AseanNow mods or close friends of Joe can do eulogy of his life.

Obviously family need to approve.

We all wish to acknowledge what a void he has left.

Perhaps know bit more about a bloke that helped us all so much.

Indeed, it would be nice to also put a face to the name.

Joe helped me so much in visa matters.

It will be hard to replace Joe, but you would be a candidate.
