Apparently, her Farang  sponsor boyfriend, who paid for a new house for her, was angry because she went back to work in the bar once the house was finished (he is stuck working in his home country). that is one of the problems with bar girls, unreliable, lottery whether some turn up to work

Bargirls get more telephone calls and messages than a switchboard operator. If they are with a customer, they get

the mother - wants money

 

kids - want money

 

other bargirls - want to borrow money

 

Lonely Farangs want to talk to them

 

Tomorrow's customer wants to make final arrangements

Their bar's LINE group spews messages

 

It's basically nonstop messages all day, all night.

Some bargirls can't wake up before 15.00 or so, even if their bars close at night relatively early. Because once the bars close, they go out drinking with their friends or their Thai boyfriend, or they hit the karaoke bars to play with boys.

 

So, some ladies arrange to come to my condo at 13.00, but rarely ever wake up on time. I plan on their not showing up so I have free time to go do other stuff after they fail to show up.

 

By now, I know which ladies reliable or not.

Taking  a bargirl can be an adventure. They generally will order twice as much as they can eat. And when the food comes, they eat the rice first and leave the expensive stuff on their plate.

Perhaps this extends to Thai women in general, but bargirls dote over their male children, sending them money even if they are adults. They tend to contact them all the time.

 

Once their female children are 15 or older, they are on their own, and expected to send Mom some cash. And rarely in contact.

Not sure I'd agree with all of that.

Certainly the doting over sons, almost supporting a popular view of male Thais on this forum, not one with which i necessarily agree.

But i've known several BGs with daughters who are in very regular contact and money seems to flow in whichever direction it's needed.

 

Then again I've also known (in several senses) Thai ladies with daughters as "apprentices" in the bar or gogo.....but that's probably not a suitable tale for AN ????

In general, in some Asian cultures, when the daughter marries, she joins the husband's family. 

Many bargirls live on Facebook, reviewing their account all day long. It's very common.

 

Some strange happened, though. A lady who is married and living in Germany tagged me. It's weird for a married lady to tag a male, other than her family. The question is why?

I get messages from bargirls pleading poverty, but instead of sending them money, I offer them work, ie they can come to my condo.

 

The ones who complain the most about poverty are the least likely to actually show up.

Some 40 year olds only recently entered the biz, having separated from their Thai SO after many years of cohabitation. Usually because the Thai man has a younger lady now.

 

I know a lot of 40+ ladies working bar. What's interesting is which have Thai boyfriends - the determining factor is rack size, the bigger the rack, the more likely they have a Thai boyfriend.
