It is about men comfortable being men, and women comfortable being women. A very alien concept in the West, and in other very weak, emasculated nations like OZ, and NZ. It has nothing to do with the new age stuff you are totally hung up on. It is just a phrase I made up for fun. 
 
Nearly every friend I have in the US is single. Why? Because for a man in the US, who is past the age of 50, unless he is willing to get with a woman at least his age, his prospects are dim for finding love, or companionship.

 

Some guys like me, simply prefer younger women. Not kids, but women who are 5, 10, 15, even 20 or 25 years younger than us. For a dozen very valid reasons. I could break them down, but why bother? The PC crew will jump on this and say it is not right. You should not be able to have this kind of life, without jumping over ridiculous hurdles! Means nothing to me. I do not do PC. Why be with a woman our age, if we do not need to? Nothing wrong with it, if it works for you. But It is virtually impossible for a 60 year old man in the US, to hook up with a 36 year old woman, unless she is very fat or very ugly, or he is a centi millionaire, or is famous. Period. It just does not happen in this day and age.

Here it is possible. Granted he will likely get with a woman of lesser means, who needs a guy who can provide some financial stability. So what? Who cares? Most women want financial stability anywhere in the world, whether they admit it or not.

 

The difference is here the women are more honest about their financial needs and desires. I know a lot of men who have engaged in relationships with lovely, kind, supportive, humorous, and sexy women here, who are no longer lonely. We have very good lives. Fulfilling lives. Lives we could never dream of having back in the US, Oz, NZ, UK, Canada, or Scandinavia.

When I first moved back to the UK with my Thai wife, the age difference was just 6 years.... people still stared, because they are ignorant ars*holes! The only place we can be truly comfortable is in Thailand (and much of Asia in general, to be fair), because most Asians don't have a stick up their backside about age gaps like westerners do. My boyfriend (40 years younger than me) & I often brunch at the local PTT. The locals all know us well, no problems.

 

The amusing bit comes when strangers from another province sit at the table next to us and assume we're non-Thai (my b/f is darkish from being outside much of each day and has a round Khmer face). So they start discussing us - they are astonished to see 2 wedding rings & they wonder who's the top & who the bottom noting that we don't seem effeminate ... On & on they go, educating themselves about modern realities. We smile politely at each other & try not to giggle ...

Only interpreted as such due to the culture you are in or the observers outlook. My Thai Wife is 26 years younger but ... don't get excited at my 76 years of age, it means she is 50. Still, on a recent visit to the USA, there were a few observations interpreted by me as a bit envious.

Since I'm a gym rat and quite rich, I can have as a goal a similar age gap to what I occasionally see now....

As long as there is money to educate and support the kids until adulthood and beyond, I couldn't give a rats a$$, kudos to both of them.

 

My father worked two jobs to provide for us, never seen the guy, only when he would rock up to eat and sleep, then he was off again, suffice to say I would like to think that I turned out ok.

 

Most should criticise those father's who skip and pay zero child support to their kids, give me a break will you.

Try working at a rehab centre in Isarn for 15 years and you'll change your tune. The misery I've seen by 16 year old farmers' daughters being forced to travel to Pattaya by their parents to give head to retire Scandinavian seamen, and understandably needing to block this horrible image out their heads by the use of drugs and alcohol. I've seen you've obviously never seen. 

If you hang around people in Pattaya, you'll obviously hear a lot of mongers justifying their actions, and maybe even believe it.

I always choose women aged 30-35 old and weighing under 50Kg.
