We want to plant both durian and lychee fruit trees on our land, probably about 50 or 60 trees in total. I was wondering which durian cultivar is the most sought after durian? 

Monthong is by far the most popular in Chanthaburi 

Agree, I think Monthong is the current mainstream variety, also good for export

Have decided to take 50% Monthong (most commonly avail) and 50% Gaan Yao (one of the more expensive cultivars).
