transfer phone number from ais to true

Featured Replies

Go to AIS shop and tell them you want to move the number to True. Pay all outstanding bills.

Go to True shop and show them the letter that the outstanding bills were paid off and number unlocked.

True will give you new SIM, which will activate after transfer is finished in a couple of days.

A few gotchas - need to make sure to have same document shown as what was used to open the number and that name is typed in the same way (sometimes all caps, sometimes all small). If there's discrepancy, the transfer might fail. If it fails, you need to do it again, but at that time you might have no outstanding balance or only for a couple of days of usage.

I transferred my mobile number from True to AIS so I guess the answer is yes.

Do not do it if you get SMS messages/OTP from the UK True does not recognise them.....at least last year they didn`t.....I changed from True to AIS and all is good with them ????

I'm curious - for wanting to receive SMS to a Thailand number from a non-Thailand number, is this like a UK bank that allows foreign numbers?

I have a couple of UK banks that will send OTPs to my Thai number.  I use AIS and never had a problem similar to petermik.  Never tried any other suppliers.
