Pattaya — A thief stole a bag containing various valuable items from a 59-year-old security guard with hemiparesis in Pattaya on July 7th.

The bag belonged to Mr. Surasak Mathes, a security guard of an unnamed apartment complex within Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 52 of Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

According to him, he was guarding an apartment complex while sitting on a bench in front of the premises. While he was resting his eyes, a male perpetrator, wearing black jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt, slowly approached him, grabbed his bag containing valuable items such as amulets, an ATM card, and important documents, and then fled.

Reminds me of a report on Thai Visa some years ago. A foreigner hired someone as night watchman at his factory, and on the first night Somchai rolled up with a pillow and blanket - and probably still wonders to this day why he was fired before he even started.

He was fired because he forgot to bring along an alarm clock!

No, he was fast asleep and incapable of guarding anything.
