Volunteer Non-Immigrant O Visas
You can definitely obtain some visa types in Thailand. During covid times it was common for immigration within Thailand to issue volunteer visas to anyone willing to pay extra "fees". Anyone considering a volunteer visa should know that those visas are looked at with suspicion and they may get extra scrutiny when entering the country or applying for any other visa type in the future. I wouldn't consider getting one even for legitimate volunteer work. -

Kamala Harris Shifts Position on Border Wall, Signaling Tougher Stance on Immigration
Because the bill would not have addressed any of the key issues, which are more policy than personnel. The policy can be handled without Congress. Trump did it. Then Biden reversed it immediately on taking office. The bill allowed for nearly 2 million illegals per year to enter the country. It also contained a way for illegals to become citizens, which should be a non starter. The bill you are talking about was an omnibus monster that had too many non related items crunched together into one piece of legislation. -

Tensions Rise Between Trump and Zelensky Amid Ukraine's War Efforts and Election
And you believe that orange clown when he spews forth his lies as he has done for many years. He hasn't got a clue, never has had, and never will have and you have only got to look at some of his past comments to know that – – "ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine will cure Covid 19", "Mexico will pay for the wall", "bleach will do a number on the virus (talking about introducing it into the body)", and one other which stands out is when he invited some of the country's top CEOs/leaders to the White House, and the general consensus of opinion by them was, "he hasn't got a clue", "he doesn't know what he's talking about", "he is just plain dumb". And no need to go into his numerous bankruptcies and the fact that one of the bankruptcies was a casino, probably a first in history. Better get used to the idea that he is as dumb as a bag of rocks. -

Thailand aims to eradicate poverty in two years
How did I make your case? You stated "For those wondering, the poverty threshold in China is about 9 yuan ($1.25) a day." The World Bank uses "equivalent of US$1.90 or less per day" for the poverty line. China's measure is "more stringent than that of the World Bank: earning less than $2.30 a day". So you're saying "try to live on 16 RMB/day?" It's possible, otherwise there would be no surviving Chinese living below the extreme poverty line. That doesn't mean comfortable, just possible. Subsistence farmers in poor villages in Outer Nowhereia can do just that, raise a poor family on 500 RMB/month. Or their kids can migrate to Shenzhen and work in FoxConn factories making 5000-7000 RMB/month "slave wages" for a few years, return home and live like kings. In 1990 there were more than 750 million people in China living below the international poverty line - about two-thirds of the population. By 2012, that had fallen to fewer than 90 million, and by 2016 - the most recent year for which World Bank figures are available - it had fallen to 7.2 million people (0.5% of the population). https://www.bbc.com/news/56213271 -

Billy Eilish's "Birds of a Feather" - is it better than anything by the Beatles?
Just listened to Ms Eilish on Y Tube. If that's the best song you can come up with, I feel sorry for you. Such obvious rhymings, a rather boring melody and a 5hitty video. So many better songs in the last 60 years, too many to mention. -

Huh? There is nothing "controversial" about the Elite visa, it is a legitimate visa that has no more controversy than any other visa/extension. -
