Yes I thought the police were quite well behaved, the guy seemed to have an issue with only one of the police. He sounded Chinese, and if this happened in NZ or Australia or most other countries he would have been tazered or shot. 

I hope the Thais deported him.

He is CLEARLY speaking Mandarin Chinese with a mainland accent.

Correct, should have arrested and charged, but he is Chinese and they do not want to upset them, because it may affect tourism. Its all about the $$$

As most Chinese are seen as the saviors of Thailand they get preferential treatment. In no circumstances must any incidents showing a Chinese national being seen arrested or being treated inappropriately could cause an international situation Thailand cannot afford to lose it damages the Thailand Tourism Trade. I'm surprised the next video or photo shots were the Thai officers waing the Skateboarder and handing him the obligatory bunch of flowers or basket of fruit.

If you search "chinese arrested in thailand" ut delivers 11 million google results, and versus Europeen 38 million, then you can brake it down if you want for each nationality. Wondering which country have to most results. Just did a search on British, go ahead and see for yourself.

The media is very obviously pro Chinese given nearly every other news report on a foreign person in Thailand thats involved in something illegal are named by their country of origin but when its a Chinese national its a "foreigner"

In response to the man’s aggression, the officer attempts to retaliate, unsuccessfully using his baton to counter the skateboard attacks. Nevertheless, the conflict isn’t de-escalated even when the two standing-by policemen try to mediate. The video ends there, leaving the cause of the dispute unclear and provoking a wave of online comments.
