FORMER election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn said in a Facebook post that Move Forward Party should consider naming Palang Pracharath leader Prawit Wongsuwan as prime minister with this leading to him competing against Pheu Thai’s candidate Srettha Thavisin for the helm of the government

Clearly this chap got dropped on his head by his nanny too many times.

What a moronic suggestion.

It is not a multiple candidate winner-take all "election". No one is running against anyone.

And it's taken a month just to hold one, single vote for PM.

Wow, Prawit for PM, there is no bounds to talent in this country! ????:jap:

At least he should be on TIME for any meeting, now whether he is awake is another story.

Is there a contest for the most absurd ideas running that I haven't heard about? Since the election it all has devolved into what looks like a fever dream.

More like a wet dream with all the coming climaxes.

Why the hell did they even bother holding an election?

So the baht would fall and stay down; look at the bright side.

But it's interesting that they are looking at "fun" (sanook anyone?) ways to cope with this; everyone is getting a little goofy, and for good reason.

“Just thinking about it playfully is already fun,” he said.

Very funny indeed, considering that the country has already been held back for 9 long years by Prawit and his ilk.

So Thailand it seems may well be welcoming a new ''Mr.Toad'' to take the driving seat. But remember Mr. Toad had to dress up as a laundry lady to escape justice after his car crash. Next time it may well a financial and economy crash, new car, same driver. Somethings never change...

This statement, from a former election commissioner, says much about the contempt which these establishment staffed government agencies have for the electorate, and the democratic process!

What process?

Somchai is well known for wanting to be in the news. He had his moment of fame in the Election Commission and since then he has popped up now and again to remind people who he is

If I remember right he applied to be a Democrat MP but even failed at that.
