New flyovers closed

Featured Replies

Went into Pattaya today from Sattahip  and all the new flyovers were all closed, what a mess the traffic was in, someone not paid the contractors

I reckon it was a police exercise, you know, maybe when VIPs fly through and they stop the traffic, anyway all open today

What's a "flyover"? Why don't y'all Brits just say overpass, like most people on the planet do?

Because us Brits don't care what Aussies or anyone else calls a flyover, life is too short, chap...................????

When someone can advise this "Brit" what a "y'all" is, what it eats and where it lives, perhaps I could start caring as well.

I think they are erecting the lights.

Safety, what is this place coming to? Normally, a line of small traffic cones giving the workers about 2 ft of space, with traffic passing at 50 mph, is more than adequate, lol.

Actually they were closed to allow the use of large cranes to lift the new prefabricated reinforced concrete foot bridges into position after offloading them from large transport trucks.

It was a safety operation... no traffic under heavy lifts.

Sukhumvit was only partially closed for a few hours, so just a minor and temporary inconvenience.

Sounds like it was a large task to perform.

So chaos was caused by a large erection in Pattaya.

Surely not for the first time?

Relative to the flyovers where are the footbridges? I've not seen them

All the flyovers are open today in both directions as of just now when we went to and came back from the shops

Halfway between the Hua Yai road overpass and the Soi 3 overpass... it spans 4 lanes in each direction.
