Ever seen a lone Chinese in Pattaya? ????

Maybe some Taiwanese or Hong Kong Chinese, but no "real" Chinese men travel as FIT travelers. They cannot go without their flags or teddy-bears-on-a-stick.

Yes i have, they are here

Was in SR last October. Dead-empty, many hotels shuttered. A nice condo is $200 a month. Enjoy that street and a half of good, not great restaurants in the micro-downtown.

Vientiane felt like Times Square after Siem Reap.

No interest myself, as TH is 3rd world enough.

Sure they do, but do it in a more private way. Loads of Chinese businessmen order 3 girls to their room when in BK.

ive seen it with my own two eyes.

i once walked into the vip section of a karaoke bar in BKK at about 5am and there were 6 chinese guys all taking turns on this one thai girl.

they were pouring champagne on her backside and drinking it off through a straw.

seems like they were having fun!

Def some beauties with more western features.

Our driver slept in his car when he wasn't driving us. We bought him a $6 pillow. He wept with joy.

Like I said, a downer. If Bangladesh has cheap sex and a doable visa, would you hit that?

Desh has very cheap sex but too many floods ????

Filthy place, rubbish everywhere, but i hear a one year visa is just a one off payment, no 90day report, and apparently work visa is easy. Laos is paradise by comparison.

In Laos the food is just too expensive. Used to be cheaper there than in both Cambodia and Thailand. That was 25 years ago. The last time I was in Laos, in 2016, it was 2 to 3 times as expensive as LOS.

They don't monger, like us white, western, European, caucasian, farangs do.

Ever seen a Chinese tour group head into an a-go-go to barfine a dark-skinned, wide-jawed, flat-nosed, inked-up, uneducated Isaan farmer's daughter? Nah, neither have I.

Gee you sound like a fun guy to go into one with.

Are you Owen Jones by any chance?

Literally who?

And why is that a controversial opinion?

If a woman is $10...that means every schmuck with $10 has been inside that. I don't collect STDs from prostitutes, I haven't given up on life like most old grody ex-pats who frequent escorts on here have. So I actually care if I get sores on my privates.

$10 prostitutes are not a positive and if you think otherwise, God help you.

Yes. Plenty. Also, plenty of FITS traveling as couples or their family.

Majority if not all expats relocating to Cambodia from Thailand is due to Thailand's visa changes and extension of stay requirements. It's very easy once you've got your yearly visa, no checks, no money in the bank, etc as you can imagine with the ease of visas....................., it attracts plenty of dregs.

I am in Cambodia very regularly. Once you've done the temples that's it for Siem Reap unless your teaching down there or similar ' survival job ' A lot of do gooders, NGOs and those that have fallen off the planet.

Healthcare extremely limited, any Cambodian I know with any funds seeks medical attention in Thailand. Cheap beers and cigarettes and all night bars, if that's your thing. Women better in PP than SR, but I give that entire scene a wide berth.

Boring after 3 days unless on road trips or there for business. There are always cheap apartments available in Cambodian cities by looking around.

I find Cambodia has a lot more action and more going for it than Laos and I live an hour from Laos. So, the comments that Laos is action packed compared to Siem Reap is absolute garbage.

Food is up and down in Cambodia but they do have a very wide choice of different cultures and cuisine. Vegetables and fruits, you will find a great many imported from Thailand.

A good source of info are the forum pages of Cambodia Expats Online.

I have read lots of griping about how more expensive Phnom Penh is these days: supermarkets because a fair bit of food imports are directly from Thailand; eateries are now running $5 to $10 a meal; hostess bar girls asking $50 to $100; 50 cent beers are double that now; cigs cheaper though; there's no city transit still so it's all by  tuktuk or tiny golf cart-like Passapps (like Grab); streets after midnight are rather dangerous due to bag/phone snatches (even in daytime), drunk driving in extreme ("foreigners" -- guess?); and apartments for residents are rocketing upwards of $400 to $600/month.

Long-stay visas are a breeze if you're old enough 55 and up. Tourist e-visa is $35 online, get a letter and show it at airport and then at arrival you get a small stamp. You can also get an Ordinary visa on arrival and extend for 3, 6 or 12 months. Latter is about $290.

And last, I like the friendly Khmer people who also seem to pick up English reasonably well.

Anyway, check out CEO.

Agree with most of that, not least the really friendly Khmer people, but an alternative to tuktuks is Phnom Penh's "CityBus" service.  All buses have aircon and a flat fare of Riel 1,500 (around US$0.35) irrespective of distance with a CityBus app so you can see all the routes, all the stops, and where the buses are.  Mostly daylight hours only though.  The service officially runs until 20:30, but don't expect to find a bus after 19:00, nevertheless a good way to avoid the airport taxi sharks as there is a #3 bus which stops just oustide the passenger terminal (exit the car park, turn left and walk 150m) and which will take you downtown for US$0.35!

In the times I've visited agogos post-Covid, I find just the opposite: lots of young and middle aged Chinese are barfining, and the women chosen run the gamut from light-skinned to mocha, clean to tatted, natural to lab-enhanced. I've even seen Chinese couples barfine women for "purposes unknown".

The fact that China has 30 million more marrying age men than women (due to the long-held one China policy and preference for males) seems to be driving carnal behavior.

Exactly what I saw in a Bar Street restaurant, a few years ago.  Table next to us had eight very ugly Chinese young men.  They kept getting updates from an attractive well-dressed Chinese woman.  Sure looked the start of a wife-buying scheme.

I’ve been to Cambodia twice … one week few days at each hotel traveled around a bit… second time two days PP for my sons wedding.

he and his wife have twin 4 yr old boy, girl and 5 yr old son.

I can’t really give a give a first hand experience in PP,SR (was cool and the older section much cooler. I live in Isaan countryside retired and would say Thailand would be my preference…

I lived in China 10+ years… prior.

yeah, dark skin is a horrible thing.

everyone should use skin whitening products to make themselves white if they aren't already.

cost of living comparison. you can choose specific cities. a lot of things more expensive in cambodia.
