Popular Post webfact Posted August 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 19, 2023 A university student found himself in a web of deception after falling victim to an online scam, only to be scammed again by fake police officers who offered to reclaim his lost money. The young man ended up losing a total of 350,000 baht. The incident led to a warning about such scams appearing on the Facebook page “Drama-addict”. The post specified: ” This case should be taken interest in. It is similar to previous cases we have warned about with scammers, creating fake pages and websites, pretending to be police officers or government agencies. They fool victims who were initially scammed by other fraudsters, promising to help them reclaim the lost money. If the victims fall for it, they end up being scammed again and end up losing everything.” The case revolved around the university student who initially fell into an investment scam losing 10,000 baht. Subsequently, he encountered a group that fooled him again. He reported the first crime online and was approached by a fake special force unit that proposed to refund him his money on the grounds they could hack the betting website where the initial scam took place. by Nattapong Westwood Image by Elnur Full story: https://thethaiger.com/news/national/university-student-falls-for-double-scam-losing-350000-baht -- Thaiger 2023-08-19 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post spidermike007 Posted August 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 19, 2023 There is a whole subculture in this world, who absolutely refuse to work for a living, and instead like to prey on those who are vulnerable, naive, dumb, and easy victims. It is our responsibility to be careful, prudent, willing to do some vetting, some research, some due diligence, anytime we part with cash. Especially online. Dealing with Ebay, Lazada, Amazon is one thing. You have recourse. But, dealing with Facebook vendors, Instagram, Youtube, dating sites, or any other social media, the scammers outweigh the real deals. People get taken every day. I get junk emails offering me at least $100 million a month. These people are parasites, they barely deserve the oxygen they consume, and we must do everything in our power to deny the online worms. Especially cops and fake cops! 1 2 2

FruitPudding Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 It never ceases to amaze me what a viper pit this place is A naive person gets duped out of a lot of money and many Thaivisa members crawl out of their hiding places to mock him for self satisfaction. Makes you wonder how sad their own lives are. 1

Popular Post FruitPudding Posted August 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 19, 2023 I get that the internet can bring out the worst out in people- myself included - but it is beyond my comprehension how so many posters so far in this thread are mocking this person's misfortune for their own gratification. Absolutely vile and sickening talk, guys. You really ought to stand in the corner and have a word with yourselves. 1 2

If people did not have greed as a driver, scammers would find life a lot more difficult. 1
