Whats on your lunch menu today?

Back in Thailand, and enjoy my return with all kinds of food.

Today seafood papaya salad with fresh coconut milk!

Back on track, working out 5 days a week, and daily fixing things that nobody else care to see, or waited for me to return, as well walking the animals two times a day.

Just had a delish Katsudon with a side of edamame and gyoza washed down with a couple of shots of sake.

Smoke a blunt on the way back to work and the afternoon should be quiet pleasant.

I hope that's an appetizer ... ????

Posted elsewhere, had an excellent chicken massaman yesterday.   Thinking pancakes or crepes & fruit today.  Looking to be a very early dinner now though.

Nope, thats the whole lunch, but have to admit I had some great custard apple as a side dish. Normally do not eat fruit for lunch, but from our own garden I can do an exemption.

Duck Noodles at Kitchen Mandalay.

CM has better Myanmar food options than most of Myanmar, and this nowheresville place, conveniently located near a DHL drop off, is the best of the bunch.

(Swan Burmese, near the south side of The Old City, is another good one).

That's the saucepan, waiting for it to cool so I can freeze it. Ate 1 portion, 4 to freeze.

I’m a bit paranoid about those Aluminium pots and pans. I use stainless steel here.

This looks good as well. I like loads of peas, so my rice would have more. I also normally have a garlic naan with an Indian style curry.

At first glance, I thought it was a single serving, then when I looked again and compared the size of the lumps of chicken with the size of the spoon (ladle) I realised my mistake.

I make mashed potato by washing the potatoes throughly, wrapping them in kitchen towel and then putting them in the microwave for 4 - 5 minutes dependent on size. Then mash them up with olive or butter and seasonings.
I don’t think that I’ve ever boiled potatoes, unless in a soup base.
How do you make yours?

Pretty much the same as jacket spuds then, just scoop out the potato?

You are getting really good at opening those jars. Cleaned up the kitchen yet?

Peel, cut into 1/2 inch slices, boil for 15 mins in a saucepan, then mash with a fork and mix in a splash of milk.

I never saw the point in owning a dog and then barking myself.

But I do the washing up for my own cooking within minutes of using.

Home made leek soup (no salt) and 1 ricecake.

I'm sick of this diet.
