Trump Hails 'Full and Comprehensive' Trade Deal with UK Amid Modest Economic Expectations
Using Trumps own logic, the US has been ripping the UK off for years, given that there is a surplus. The 10% tariff of course is paid by the importer not by the UK exporter, so US customers are eventually 10% worse off, prices being 10% higher may result in less exports to the US, so in theory the UK trade surplus could grow especially if the UK buys more US goods under this agreement (beef or chicken anyone?), so the US will be ripping the UK off more ? sounds like a lose / lose. -

Report Thai Teenager Missing for a Week: Family Appeals for Public's Help
Yes, of course! And she works 24/7, so that´s why she never returns home. if no need to return home, why not give a notice to the landlord? Or did you try to make fun out of a possible disappearance of a young girl? I that case you should feel ashamed. Hopefully they will find her and everything is ok, but unfortunately history and statistics tells another story. -

Report Covid-19 Resurgence in Thailand: Over 8,000 Cases Reported in a Week
The Ministry of Public Health warns against believing panic-inducing news about the severe outbreak of COVID-19, revealing the real figures! COVID and influenza The Department of Disease Control warns the public not to believe the news about 'COVID-19', which has caused panic. The latest number of patients is 40,000, which is lower than the same period in 2024, when there were 700,000 cases. Data from 1 January - 8 May 2025, total COVID-19 cases 41,197, total deaths 15, spreading during the rainy season. The cumulative number of influenza cases has exceeded 320,000, with 43 deaths, with the highest number of cases occurring in the 5-9 year age group. Emphasize that 2 diseases can be prevented by following personal preventive measures, protecting the 608 risk group. If you have to be with a large group of people, wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and if you feel sick, see a doctor immediately. On May 8, reporters reported that the Department of Disease Control's Facebook page published a warning stating that there has been news about COVID-19 intentionally creating panic among the public. Currently, there are 40,000 cases, lower than the same period in 2024, when there were as many as 700,000 cases. There has been no cluster outbreak. Covid early 2025 to May 8, cumulative cases 41,197 On the same day, Dr. Panumas Yanawetsakul, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, revealed the COVID-19 situation in Thailand for this week, from May 4-8, 2025. The Department of Disease Control received reports of 7,013 patients and 1 death, with the highest rate of infection in the 0-4 age group, followed by the 30-39 age group and the 20-29 age group, respectively. The deceased were aged 60 years and over. For the COVID-19 situation in Thailand from January 1 - May 8, 2025, there were a total of 41,197 patients and 15 deaths. From epidemiological surveillance data, Thailand has been able to continuously find patients because the spread of the disease is related to activities or large gatherings of people, including seasonal factors, especially during the rainy season when there is a tendency to find more patients. Currently, the number of weekly patients has begun to decrease. Accumulated influenza cases soar to over 320,000, with the highest number of cases occurring in the 5-9 year age group. As for the influenza situation from January 1 - May 8, 2025, there were a total of 322,991 influenza patients, with a morbidity rate of 497.58 per 100,000 population. There were 43 reported deaths. Influenza patients tended to increase slightly during the Songkran Festival (April 13 - 26, 2025). Currently, patients tend to decrease, but are still higher than the median of the past 5 years. The highest morbidity rate was found in the 5-9 year old age group, followed by the 0-4 year old age group and the 10-14 year old age group. It can be seen that COVID-19 patients increased slightly, but it was still in line with expectations because COVID-19 has become an endemic disease. Patients can be found all year round. It is expected that more patients will be found from the Songkran Festival until this rainy season. In addition, it is about to enter the new school term. There is a possibility that there will be a higher outbreak. Therefore, we would like to emphasize that Strictly follow the preventive measures against COVID-19 and influenza when entering risky places such as places where many people gather and avoid close contact with people with respiratory symptoms to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus, especially the 608 risk group, including the elderly and people with underlying diseases, which if sick can lead to death. If you have suspected symptoms, you should get tested for the virus using ATK to avoid bringing the virus back to the risk group. -
