Popular Post snoop1130
Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has instructed all provincial governors to check the backgrounds of individuals before they are appointed as officials, citing the case of “Praween”, aka “Kamnan Nok”, a sub-district chief in Nakhon Pathom province. Praween is accused of involvement in the killing of a police officer and the wounding of another at his house on Wednesday night, reportedly after his request for promotional favours for some of his men was rejected. Anutin said he wonders how Praween was appointed Ta Kong sub-district headman (kamnan) in the first place, adding that he does not want unsuitable people to be appointed again. ikke1959
Should that not have been a normal procedure long ago, to check the background of officials?? Besides head of villages could be stopped. It is not of this century anymore as almost everyone has a car, motorcycle and smartphone and the government offices could take over. In fact they don't have anything of value to add to the community.... the head of villages, 1

From another post. Sutin Klangsang, who became only the fifth civilian to run the Defense Ministry, also has no experience in security and military affairs Look inwards Mr Anutin, unsuitable people?

bamnutsak
Even if they are "clean", and that's highly unlikely as people obtain these "appointments" through a network of family, nepotism and corruption, they are quickly corrupted by the local mafia. Anutin should just admit that corruption is pervasive and that nothing can really be done about it as it is part of the Thai national psyche. I think Anupong was a hands-off Minister of the Interior for the past nine years, a payoff for leading the 2006 coup, so Anutin has inherited a morass of out-of-control corruption. Clean up on aisle three.

TigerandDog
Anutin should take a long look in the mirror before coming out with statements like this. How did someone with NO medical background become Health Minister?

lordgrinz
Yet, it's OK to have a convicted heroin trafficker (Thamanat Prompao) as the Minister of Agriculture?! Hey bootlicker (Anutin), why don't you clean up parliament first......then maybe someone will take your seriously, I doubt it, but give it your all. Now run along little piggy, the trough is waiting for you, wouldn't want you to miss your slop.
