Foreigners make a ‘cremazing’ splash with Gene Kelly-inspired dance in Thai temple rain

A group of enthusiastic foreigners sparked both amusement and criticism among Thai netizens after sharing a video of dancing and singing in the rain Gene Kelly style in front of a crematorium at a temple in Thailand.

A foreign woman shared a video of herself and friends on her TikTok account @ks_photogallery on Wednesday, September 6. The video features six people taking time out to reenact the 1952 movie Singin’ in the Rain, starring Gene Kelly, while the crematorium and temple formed the backdrop.

Thai netizens found the video entertaining, with some playfully poking fun at the foreigners’ apparent lack of awareness regarding the establishment’s solemn purpose.

No singing, no dancing and, sure as shiit, no reference to Gene Kelly or Singing in the Rain in that clip, just some dicks jumping up and down in puddles splashing each other and whooping.

As already said, there is nothing connecting this to Gene Kelly. I assume it´s Thai people that made that up. Better they learn more about things outside Thailand, than complain about people visiting and having fun with not disturbing anyone.

But, maybe they do not want or need tourism. Welcome to Thailand. Do as you are told, and give money. Go Home!

Can't say I blame them.  A couple of years ago, I saw a group picnicking and playing Frisbee in the WW2 Cemetery in Kanchanburi.  The Thai caretaker was having none of it...  Kudos to him.

I suspect they feel the same way about temple crematoriums.

BTW, the Frisbee players in the K-Buri Cemetery were Asian, but I was too far away to tell what nationality.  I was on my way closer when the Thai caretaker ran them off.

Seems you're on a roll with your negative attitude.

Start a thread about your problems.............

So, you think the tourists made wrong?

Let me guess Russians?

the last I have seen -before I moved in a tourist free area -hugged a Monk for a Photo,

As I asked them politely to read a bit more about Thai culture, she hissed at me and said

"FuXX Off, what is wrong to make a photo in my holiday, if he not want it, HE should learn Russian and tell me and not you"

In a Temple and also outside you want to be quiet and polite...

i just made a creamy splash in my pants reading that amazing headline.

Yes, some Thais like to gossip and complain as soon as tourists enjoy their time in Thailand, and have fun - Cremazing Thailand!

I'd like to see them try that sort of antics in a mosque in, say Iran.

What is it about TikTok that causes people's brains to shrivel and die?

Innocent fun will not be tolerated.

Especially from locals who have nothing to sing and dance about.

This is one of the negative effects of Thailand legalizing marijuana.. Stoners in the rain.

The guy in the white t-shirt kissed a girl at the end without asking her first so he'll obviously have to resign from his job and apologise to all the outraged netizens.
