It is really very simple.

People, including me see patterns and from them try to decipher reality. Some times correct. but often mistaken  they see conspiracies in these patterns. 

When they communicate these perceived conspiracies they are often told that they are stupid. This goes against their existential integrity and they always look for others who agree with them, thus communities and echo chambers are created. 

  Jordan Peterson is a very intelligent eloquent A-Hole!! 

and like  many others on both sides of the ideological and political spectrum has developed an cottage  industry in providing a community and an echo-chamber  to those who seek validation for their interpretation of their IMO mistaken reality, and is making a pretty good living for himself.

I only wish I had the balls and sociopathy to do the same. 

   If you are to watch a few of his videos, after a while you will see that his responses are canned ,by now he has memorised the appropriate responses to issues and questions that his flock of sheep requires. He is feeding them what they hunger for. 

Don't get me wrong . He is not the only one and not only in that ideological spectrum. I remember Christopher  Hitchens with whom often  agree but whose rhetoric after a while became predictable but nin the less entertaining.

 Press button A you get response B  and all those not familiar would eat it up. I had developed a  game out of watching his debates and mouthing his response before he had. If it was a drinking game and I took a drink every time I was right, I would probably never make it to the end of the debate. ????

Jordan Peterson is no different, though not as entertaining IMO.
