  • Make sure your Covid shots are up to date.  Pfizer and Moderna have new FDA approved vaccines out to protect you. Stay safe!

an abnormally large number of people i know are all sick right now. myself included. had a scratchy throat the other morning and within a few hours turned into a nasty cold. sniffles runny nose not much else. i have been overdosing on tiffy.

anyone else in the same boat ?

Where does it mentioned Covid?

I got sick 4 days ago. Cold with bronchitis. Thankfully not flu. Worst was yesterday now I'm a lot better but still have a fairly nasty cough.

I texted one friend and he said he and his wife have virtually the same thing.

I texted another friend and he said a lot of people are sick with the same symptoms all over Thailand.

In my first response, I said I believed people have weakened immune systems because of the Covid jabs. That's the missing link you're looking for.

There are also concerning cognitive issues among jab recipients.

I quit eating all simple carb about a month ago. No sugar, rice, bread, etc.

Never felt more healthy and have dropped 5 kg.

Unfortunately I still have an incurale genetic blood disease, a prostate the size of a grapefruit, a a Morton's neuroma in both my feet.

Sickness spreads fast in Thailand. Just look at the utensils in almost every eatery. They are in those plastic receptacles mouth side up. Everyone is touching the eat side of your spoon when they grab one. They are all bunched in there together.

Yeah, me too, no jab - no sick (for ages)

So I am glad you are a doctor but does not believe in needles but good deflection to the original OP keep trying

I don't believe doctors and do my own research - and don't believe in rushed vaccines. No way was I going to get a covid jab. Have you checked out the stats coming out all over the world for excess deaths. You might be surprised how many more people are dying on average than pre-covid. You might not have been sick for years, but lets see how you go the next few years before bragging about it.

What does this post have to do with Thailand?

Eventually, the newer version of the COVID vaccines will end up here in Thailand for expats... probably if the past is any indicator... via donations from more medically advanced countries like the U.S., Korea, France, etc... all of whom have donated COVID vaccines to Thailand in the past for use among expats.

The rollouts in Thailand, even for Thais, have always trailed those in other places like the U.S. and the UK....  The newer vaccines have been approved there, but they're just starting to roll out there right now.... so Thailand likely will be a ways further down the road.

Obviously a thread about colds and infuenza will include discussion about covid and jabs.

And there's absolutely no credible proof for the claim you're making... as has been your custom in the past.

What to know about the COVID-19 vaccine and the immune system

"It is a myth that the COVID-19 vaccine weakens the immune system. After someone receives a vaccine, their immune system is better equipped to protect against subsequent infections."

"there have been concerns from some European regulators that giving COVID-19 booster shots too frequently could weaken the immune response to the vaccination. This is not the same as weakening a person’s immune system overall."

As I stated in my first post, I have several vaccinated acquaintances who deeply regret it.

I'm seeing a surge of illnesses of all types these days… and I'm not the only one.

Three military doctors say medical billing code data captured by Defense Medical Epidemiology Database shows sharp spikes in miscarriages, myocarditis, cancer diagnoses, Bell's palsy, female infertility. According to the data found by the military doctors, there was also a nearly 300% increase in cancer diagnoses, from a 38,700-per-year average in 2016-2020 to 114,645 in 2021.

Several vaccinated people told me that if they could go back in time, they would not do it.

I've got none of those symptoms and the people i know haven't and nearly all had covid vaccines, no link there, bad news for you

I had my 4 covid japs also my yearly flu shot, and I can't remember when I was sick last time

Haven't had COVID jabs or flu shots and can't remember when I was sick last time.

I have had a runny nose and sore throat for about a week now. The runny nose was like a river initially, I have now settled into being a yellow snot factory. Not COVID, tested with a kit a couple of times. Definitely a lurgy going around.

As the medicos say, a cold either lasts two weeks, or a fortnight.

My wife is in a very long-term recuperation from a couple of huge medical issues. Her immune system took a beating when she got here and she maintained a steady bad cold for 6 months+.

When she finally got well enough to think about a little travel, we went to Luang Prubang and she caught dengue fever. 3 weeks in bed. We're off to BKK to put out another health-fire.

Wellness-wise, the trend is my friend, but I wouldn't mind catching a break at some point. This is a roundabout way of explaining why you see me here so much.

Hope she gets well soon, dengue isn't nice and sort of lingers.

This. When I lived back home, I rarely got a cold nor anything else. After coming here, it started, especially after Covid hit. I had it at least two times, and I'm thinking it's been long Covid since then. Cough that comes and goes, scratchy throat. Gastro problems I thought were from chilis, chicken not cooked well enough or something else. Congestion , although I do have allergies, this hasn't affected me as much since I left the US until recently. Headaches, which I almost never got before. As far as sickness spreading fast here, this is always because of shared water cups, sticky rice, utensils touched by others. I tell my girlfriend now to have everyone use separate cups for water, but it doesn't get through. When one gets sick in a house, they all do. Kids in school hovering over each other, sick kids parents put in school because they won't keep them home and take care of them, so they spread whatever all around.

Of course you do. This is known as confirmation bias.

What generally happens with conspiracy nut jobs is that they blab their ridiculous theories to anybody who will listen (and often, unfortunately, people who don't want to listen) and for every 100 people they engage a couple will agree with them*. That is enough evidence for them to conclude that their theory holds some kind of scientific merit.

As for "deeply regret it", how does that manifest itself? Are they sitting in their sofa every night, clutching their knees, sobbing away a river of remorse? How does one even "deeply regret" something that has no impact on their day to day life?

*Often times this will just be to shut the nutjob up, not because they necessarily agree.

My wife she has a rite cough on her and she has been like this on and off for the last couple of months we live near to the ocean so the air is clear and a few times a week we go down to the beach for a walk early mornings, seems a lot of people around here are suffering,

I must be a strong as an Ox, apart from Dengue a few weeks ago that knocked the wind out of my sails for a few days,

My grand ma's cough remedy if you want to try, Butter, sugar and Vinegar mix it all up and eat it,

That article is obviously fake news.

And the reason I come to that conclusion is that the list of alleged negative effects the vaccine has had on people is almost comical.

miscarriages, myocarditis, cancer diagnoses, Bell's palsy, female infertility.

By comical, I mean these are all totally unrelated problems, and yet one jab magically causes ALL of these disparate diseases apparently? How can it cause both cancer and female infertility? No one would be able to create such a vaccine.

Sure, medications can have side effects. But often it's one specific thing.

This conspiracy is a cruel joke being played on you.

And I have read many conspiracies over many years, and I was also fooled by a lot of them, even though some conspiracies are true. But many are fake.
