UPON arriving in Phuket this afternoon (Sep. 29) for a briefing on the construction of a key interchange on this tourist island Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin also received some complaints from local residents which he said he will look into and legally try to resolve, Naewna newspaper said.

 

While heading for the briefing on building an interchange at the intersection of highways 402 and 4027, Srettha stopped by at Damrongtham Centre in Kathu district where some local people were waiting to personally hand over their complaints.

 

One of them, a former doctor and businessman, said the planned construction of expressway 409 would not be needed if the real problem, that is traffic lanes being reduced from four lanes to two, is resolved with this saving billions of baht.
