Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

We will need an agent to get retirement visa in the first week of November. If you kindly share your experiences and trusted agents, will be huge help. First choice is Bangkok.

Thanks in advance.

Maneerat in Soi Post Office 13\2, Pattaya is highly recommended and the cheapest

  • Sad if they are the cheapest. With bank account and 800k already in place they quoted me 23,000 for the initial non-imm O + 12 month extension

Why are so many scared of Immigration if you have the seasoned money IMO you are not legal in some way, or disabled.

Convenience, perhaps?

How about convenience and not having to deal with any possible bureaucracy, nor explain anything to snarky AN members who think that it is, somehow, their business?

If you qualify for a 10-year Long Term Resident visa, the government agency BOI will be your agent at no cost.

No, the reason he wants to use an agent is none of anyone's business, public forum, or not.  He only asked for a recommendation, not an inquisition.

Paying bribes, falsifying documents, extensions from a province you do not live in and unregulated yet 'trusted' ? ????

2000+1900 is DIY fee..

If using Maneerat, do one get both stamps ( 90 days + one year) same time ?

What sort of time there is with processing times ? Meaning not having your passport on your hand..

Yes 15 months at once, takes around 3 weeks

Indeed "trusted".

People on here say an agent takes all the stress away and you don't have to speak to IO with their varying rules of the day. Plus you get 15 month stay in one go.

As it was I didn't do it as 23,000 for just hand holding is a joke price when no commissions to pay the bank staff and/or IO to look the other way. The no money method was 25,000

Another agent quoted 10,000 for non-imm O + 12 month extension but with the caveat of no guarantees. I assume that was because they suspected IO might still ask for their cut for every agent submission. This agent also strongly suggested it'd be better to do oneself if you have 800k seeded. Good advice from what seemed an honest agent

Yes the awful stress of filling in a form and signing 2 others when you get there, plus the dreadful trauma of sitting with a few dozen other smelly foreigners for an hour or 2 once a year. ????

Get it right mate, as per OP it's an initial apication so 3 visits to immigration with "a few dozen other smelly foreigners" ????

Without agent there is Non-imm O application, come back 2-3 weeks later to pick up passport with Visa, and then come back 2 months later to apply for 12 month extension

Because it still a pain in the a**.

Having an agent streamlines everything.

I've got a friend like you.  He enjoys just doing it himself despite the waisted days and headaches it entails.
