Popular Post webfact
Thai police have been described as “the best in the world” by a Spanish tourist who got his missing camera back from Don Mueang Police. The high praise was shared on social media by Phattharasaya Rirkrat, deputy inspector of Don Mueang Police Station, according to a Nation Thailand report. According to Ms Phattharasaya, Denison Mendes, a Spanish tourist travelling with his girlfriend, told her he can’t thank the Thai police enough. Officers had managed to locate a camera and hard drive containing photos of their trip after the couple left it behind in a taxi. Ms Phattharasaya says that Mr Mendes told her that once back in Spain, he plans to spread the word about the help he received from Thai police officers. She says Mendes had tears of gratitude in his eyes as he thanked her, having travelled to Don Mueang police station from Phuket in order to collect his camera, two lenses, and the hard drive. Popular Post spidermike007
Quite amusing. I would describe them as being some of the easiest cops to deal with, as long as you do not have major needs. Most are fairly friendly, and nearly all will go away with a small bribe. That can be very convenient. I have met some cops who were quite kind and helpful, over the years. Not like back in the US, where the vast majority of law enforcement can be quite unpleasant, authoritative, unfriendly, and difficult. And sometimes quite dangerous. 4 1
Ironmike
What's the bet the taxi driver was standing there waiting for a reward or the camera was so. Complex none of the coppers could figure it out so they returned it

Well, we could start with where, three days after police were given the license number, they've done nothing. Or the people having the government that is given to them, rather than the one they voted for. And so on. And so on. 1

proton
I beg to differ, at least in Samut Prakan. Local cop just arrested for raping his 12 year old domestic 'servant' from Laos who had been in his house for just 3 days. So that's rape of a child, human trafficking and illegally employing a foreigner. Probably wont even get into the news.
