snoop1130 Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 The tragic loss of two young lives to influenza, compounded by encephalitis, has cast a sobering light on the importance of vaccination and vigilant healthcare practices. A prominent medical source issued a fervent plea for influenza vaccinations, especially as we enter the rainy season when respiratory illnesses tend to proliferate. The spectrum of common diseases during this period includes influenza, severe flu, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) leading to bronchial inflammation, bacterial pneumonia, and pulmonary edema. The transmission of these infections primarily occurs through the inhalation or contact with droplets or secretions carrying pathogens, such as nasal fluids or saliva. Dr Chonnanan, who has been deeply alarmed by the surging influenza outbreak within school communities, declared it a public health emergency. He remains on a 24-hour standby as the flu epidemic continues to escalate, with a staggering count of over ten thousand individuals falling ill. RanongCat Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 RSV has already hospitalized 3 infants including a 3 week old with severe pneumonia in the last 3 weeks from our village ! The warning is real ! The resurgence of infections that were suppressed due to covid precautions has created a gap in generic acquired community immunity putting vulnerable groups at higher risk of serious impact. RSV is usually only of significance to the very young and/or the very old. 2

Popular Post huangnon Posted October 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 6, 2023 Seasonal 'flu.. Quote potential severity of influenza: vaccination and timely medical intervention are essential tools in safeguarding the health and well-being of communities, especially during the rainy season when the risk of respiratory illnesses looms large. Why doesn't the good doctor prescribe healthy eating habits, Vitamin D, exercise, etc. to boost kid's natural immune systems? ???? Just another schill trying to create panic over nothing to enrich his industry. 5

So they had encephalitis, which is deadly, than contracted influenza which together with the comorbidity ended their lives. Therefore all children need flu shots, to mask up, and heck - let's close the schools again and use Zoom instead! In the meanwhile, how many kids have got killed on Thai road in the last week? Shouldn't cars be banned or at least children should no longer be allowed to be passengers in cars or no motorcycles. "For the safety of the children!" "Well that's ridiculous!" Exactly. 4 2

Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK Posted October 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 6, 2023 Flu vaccines have been around for years and widely tested. The basic vaccine remains the same, but is just adjusted each year to target whatever flu strains the health authorities expect to be circulating. FDA-Approved Flu Vaccines Are Safe "A rigorous evaluation of laboratory and clinical trial data was conducted by FDA scientists and physicians to determine the safety and effectiveness of the influenza vaccines for initial approval. If a vaccine meets the FDA’s scientific and regulatory standards, it receives an FDA approval. To ensure that updated seasonal flu vaccines are safe, effective and of high quality, the FDA prepares and provides reagents (materials to standardize vaccines) to those manufacturers that have an existing FDA-approved influenza vaccine to ensure that they can make their updated influenza vaccine and to verify its identity and potency." https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/its-good-time-get-your-flu-vaccine 1 1 1

Popular Post 248900_1469958220 Posted October 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 6, 2023 So they had encephalitis as well?????????? This is tragic but its a bit like the 'dying with Covid' when crushed by a falling antelope. People that are already low are more vulnerable.....no sh*t!! This does NOT mean that every man and his dog needs to go out and get vaccinated. Letting your bodies own immune system deal with it, IF you are healthy enough is always the best way. ok, ok ok....if you have spent the last 3 decades smoking and drinking yourself to death with no exercise etc.....knock yourself out. Why did we forget about natural immunity?? You dont need to answer that. 3

A bit like getting one of the earliest produced Covid vaccines now in 2023... "Every year, in late February or early March, before that year’s flu season ends, the FDA, the World Health Organization, the CDC and other public health experts collaborate on collecting and reviewing data from around the world to identify the flu viruses likely to cause the most illnesses during the next flu season." https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/its-good-time-get-your-flu-vaccine The last figure I saw indicated that the recent flu vaccines reduce the risk of illness by between 40 and 60%.... so basically cut your risk of getting sick in half. "While vaccine effectiveness (VE) can vary, recent studies show that flu vaccination reduces the risk of flu illness by between 40% and 60% among the overall population during seasons when most circulating flu viruses are well-matched to those used to make flu vaccines. In general, current flu vaccines tend to work better against influenza B and influenza A(H1N1) viruses and offer less protection against influenza A(H3N2) viruses." https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/vaccineeffect.htm 1 1 2

Well, because so many of the anti-vax/conspiracy theory posters have been posting their similar nonsense on another thread which has just been closed because of this, it's no surprise that some folks thought it was kosher. I'm surprised that someone hasn't come up with the idea of drinking sodium hypochlorite to kill the flu virus, because this was mentioned in the previously closed thread. 1
